Because of my grim and pessimistic understanding of life, I don't consider having children to be an acceptable option. Despite this, I've decided that I must have a child so that I can name it Cyrix.
I wonder if I could get away with such a thing if I let the other person choose the Christian name, and had Cyrix as the middle name?
Anyway, in case you too would like to give your child a computing name, here are some suggestions:
Sort of sounds like Clarence. |
Sounds like a cross between Corey and Jor-El (wasn't that Superman's dad?) |
Like Linus, I suppose, since it was named after Linus Torvalds. |
Well why not? Rose, Daisy, Myrtle are all used as names, why not Lotus? |
Macintosh - except it sounds as though you're a raincoat. |
This one is good. Have you ever noticed that powerful or greatly feared overlords or monsters often have names ending in "or"? For example, Skeletor, Gigantor, Sador (the Malmorian - remember him?) |
And there actually is an e-mail programme called Becky.
